I'm usually against Flash sites... some are really heavy and load really slow. However, with more people now using highspeed connections, I believe I could design a light Flash site.

This is my inspiration... or rather, concept that I'm going to rip-off:

The site you linked to worked great. If you could make yours as cool as that then definitely :)

That site actually would be very simple to build using Flash. Nothing really super complex going-on so the action script would be fairly straight forward.

Totally white background with a persistent nav... I like my site, but I've always wanted to build a slicker Flash one.

If I was you I would concentrate on making a site that automatically sent TheGrooveking free pedals, but that's the complaint I have with most websites.

Normally I'd say sure, but one of the few things about my iPhone that annoys me is, no Flash. Granted, the amount of people coming to your site via their phone may be a small number. It's just a thought.

Unless it's playing free porno, I do not want fucking flash on a website. My default browsing mode is to run Safari with plugins turned off because I hate the distraction of flash ads, I hate hearing my fucking CPU fan speed up just to play flash ads, and nothing pisses me off more than when I'm doing product research and I have to turn on fucking flash just to browse the manufacturer's product offerings. I voted "no."

I would not, could not, in a box.
I could not, would not, with a fox.
I will not eat them with a mouse.
I will not eat them in a house.
I will not eat them here or there.
I will not eat them anywhere.
I do not eat green eggs and ham.
I do not like them, Sam-I-am.

Ok, let me put it another way. Nobody accidentally types "tonefreak.com" into their URL bar. So anybody who ends up on your site is already interested. Therefore you don't need all kinds of gimmicks to get their attention. What they do want is a) to find out what your pedals look and sound like, b) to find out what they cost, and c) to do so with as little hassle as possible. You can achieve a and b without flash, and at least some people will consider flash a violation of c.

PS: I'm masturbating to "Hop on Pop" right now as we speak.

Thanks for your on-topic input Tublave, but really, the additional comments are kinda out of context in this thread.
